An Understanding of Technology, Business — and People

With hundreds of IP disputes, enforcement actions, and litigation matters under his belt, Darin Klemchuk is recognized as one of Texas’s most experienced and respected IP attorneys and mediators. He is the founder of Klemchuk PLLC, a law firm focused on intellectual property, technology, and complex litigation, where he has built a career at the intersection of law, innovation, and business strategy.

In addition to legal, business, and technical expertise, Darin is exceptionally adept at navigating the personal and emotional aspects of mediation. As a certified professional coach, he has a deep understanding of communication, collaboration, conflict dynamics, and problem solving.

Darin began his career as a systems engineer at The Boeing Company, and later served in the U.S. Army National Guard prior to earning his law degree and transitioning into legal practice. This foundation gives him a technical and disciplined approach which, combined with decades of litigation experience, enables him to bring a uniquely informed perspective to mediation. He has successfully litigated IP and commercial cases across Texas and frequently serves as local counsel for out-of-state clients in patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret matters in both state and federal courts in Dallas, as well as in the Northern, Eastern, Western, and Southern Districts of Texas federal courts.

Over the course of his career, Darin has represented clients from startups to Fortune 500 companies — and is known for handling complex IP disputes with precision and strategic insight. In addition to his legal work, Darin is also a frequent speaker and published author on patent law, IP enforcement, and anti-counterfeiting initiatives.

Darin also advises and invests in emerging technology firms, giving him firsthand insight into the challenges and value of protecting innovation.
